This Friday we will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.

Today we tried out making some art to resemble celtic knots.

The first step to creating this art was to choose a color of paper.

“Oh no! Light green is gone!”

Then we needed to fold up the paper three times.

We tried with scrap paper to fold it first.

Two folds did not have the impact we wanted so we went with three.

Once students had their ideas, they began cutting.

They cut carefully so they wouldn’t break the connected edges.

After unfolding the paper, students were amazed at how their designs turned out.

Finally it was time to glue our designs onto their background.

Every piece of art was different and unique.
