Today we discussed the difference types of senses, and we focused on “touch”.
Throughout the lesson we explored different types of textures and feelings, such as rough and smooth, hard and soft, and hot and cold.
Next, we looked at pictures of different objects and labeled them with what texture we thought they were. Some were very easy like ice cream, but feathers and candy floss was a little trickier.
Finally, we explored a mystery box. We could not see inside the mystery box, but we could use our sense of “touch” to try and guess what was inside.
Some things like balls and brushes were easy to guess, but things like toy cars were hard.
