We began by talking about butterflies. We discussed the look of their wings.
The left and right wings are always reflections of one another.

After deciding on the size and pattern of the butterflies, students cut them out.

They then added their own unique designs.
We kept repeating the mantra that “Left and right mirror each other.”

Some students chose to stick to one or two colors. Others made their butterfly many colors.
