Last week we set off on an art journey to create Tanabata lanterns. This week we completed them.

Remember our washi paper? We created beautiful borders around them using construction paper and shiny origami.

We cut all shorts of shapes didn’t matter what type, something like the tail of a fallen star.

Then we glued them onto our washi paper as a border to the top.

Next we folded the length so it was easier to cut.

After we cut them we tied them in a round circle and connected it to our tissue balls.

They came out pretty authentic.

Orihime and Hikoboshi would be proud.
