Happy Thursday, everyone! Today in ACCESS, we continued our studies of dinosaurs. This week we focused on scientific theories of how the dinosaurs went extinct. Whichever theory you believe, it all started with an asteroid.
For our activity today, we finished our museum display of a triceratops. We had all of the bones cut out from last week, so this week, we had to put them all together into a skeleton.
The students worked together to build the skeleton and then glue down all of the bones.
Next, we needed to add some information about our triceratops. How big is it? What does it eat? What are the horns on its head for? We wrote the answers on paper plaques to add to our display.
Now it’s time to put our skeleton on display!
