This Thursday for science class, we finished our study of the sense of touch. We reviewed our vocabulary and the students came up with lists of things that are cold, hot, soft, rough, sticky, and smooth. Then we tested whether we are better at feeling things with our finger or our toes.

All the students took turns trying to find different objects in the box without looking.

It was easy for the students to find things with their fingers!

But then it was time to take their shoes and socks off and try to find things with their feet.

This task took quite a bit longer. All of the students were able to find the objects, but not nearly as easily as with their fingers.

A few of the students were so good with their feet that they couple pick up the objects with their toes. Well done!
