What are we going to do with the leaves?

That was the questions students asked as they saw them laid out on the table.

Students were asked to pick one or more leaves they thought had a good pattern.

Today they made stamp print art.

It was important to be sure and cover the entire leaf with the stamp ink.

While using the back of the leaf was encouraged, some students did experiment with stamping the front.

After covering the leaves in paint, it was time to stamp them.

Although it was a bit tricky at first, students soon got the technique down.

Take a look at some of our art.

Some even turned the leaf stamps into a picture.

Next week, we will be doing some very unique art.

I can’t wait!
