In ACCESS today, we wrapped up our October study of “Pirates”.

To start the lesson, the students looked at all the vocabulary associated with pirates that they have studied this month.

For our activity, the students were tasked with a special quest to locate the missing treasure.

First, the students were given a code sheet that showed different pirate symbols that represented letters.

Then, the students were given five different clues. The students were required to use the code sheet to work out the directions for the clues.

After cracking all the codes and finding the missing sentence pieces, the students found the long, lost pirate treasure.
