Today in ACCESS, we completed our February study of Magic Numbers.

To begin our lesson, we discussed the Guinness World Book of Records. We talked about if the students had heard of the records before or seen someone add a new record on TV before.
We then looked at some different records of accomplishments that people have made over the last few years.

Next, we completed a worksheet using comparisons of world’s largest compared to things in Japan. This included things like highest mountain, longest river, etc. For the worksheet, the students needed to guesstimate the answers.

To finish our lesson, the students tried breaking some records. This included using chopsticks to stack items in a set amount of time.
