Today in ACCESS, we continued with our Social Studies theme of Maps.

To start the class, we reviewed our world map to locate different countries around the globe.

Next, we moved onto our study of Railroad Maps. We discussed the different train lines that are close to our school and homes. We then tried to locate Gotanda station on the above ground and below ground railroad systems.

Then, we moved onto our main activity. The students were tasked with reviewing cardinal directions. They then used these directions to answer questions about train movements across Tokyo.

To finish our main activity, the students identified and matched different train engines with their correct train line.
