Today in ACCESS, we wrapped up our Wednesday study of Goodbye Old, Hello New for the month of December.

We started our Social Studies lesson today by discussing how the New Year is celebrated in Japan. We focused on osechi. We discussed our likes and dislikes of certain dishes, and the meaning behind why we eat certain things with our families on January 1st.

We then moved our focus to look at other ways the New Year is celebrated around the globe.

Lastly, we wrote new year resolutions for our goals for the New Year.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
