For this lesson we focused on special events that children have at school. After some review of school lunches and recess, we compared the different events that might happen at a school.
The students thought about sports day, the welcoming day for new students, and graduation. Then we looked at some popular events that schools in America put on. They liked the Crazy Hair Day and Backwards Day.
Finally, each student tried to think of their own special event, writing down what people should wear and what they should do to participate. They thought of a swimming day, a party day, a dodgeball day, and more.
