Today in ACCESS, we continued with our Wednesday Social Studies theme of “All About Me”.
To begin our lesson, we reviewed our heights from last week. We also compared our different shoe sizes.
Next, we discussed names. We looked at popular baby names in the U.S and also discussed popular names in Japan.
Then, we compared our name lengths. Some students had short names, and others longer. We showed our name length differences by making it into a poster.
Next, we used the letters of our names to write poems.
Lastly, we had a special speech from a student who explained the meaning behind his name and why his parents’ chose it.
