We conclude our month about opposites by celebrating an Opposite Day. Having reviewed our vocabulary, the class talked about what people would do on an ‘opposite day’. We tried saying the opposite of what we mean (hello for goodbye, stand up for sit down). We tried turning our shirts backwards or inside out.

The students had a lot of fun playing some opposite games. We tried a memory game, but rather than matching the same things, we matched opposites.

We also tried a game of freeze dance, but with opposite rules. The students laughed as they danced when the music stopped.
