Today we discussed the vocabulary cards, the reasons why certain objects will either harden or freeze and what the temperature ranges are for both of these categories.
After this, we completed a worksheet asking us to draw what we think will happen related to changes in temperature.
Once we had finished the discussion part, we decided to do two different experiments! The first experiment looked at the reason why two balloons, when attached to a bottle will either grow or shrink depending on the differences in temperature.
After this, we then did our second experiment which was seeing what happens to rubber when enough heat is applied to it.
We learnt that rubber becomes softer when it’s temperature is increased!
