Hello everyone!
The holidays are right around the corner and we are enjoying every moment of this holiday season!
Today was the last day of Saturday Preschool before winter vacation so we had a very special Christmas party!
To start off our Christmas party, we made a bûche de Noël, or “Yule Log Cake”. This is a special cake that originated in France, and later expanded to other countries in Europe.
First, we took turns using a hand mixer to make chocolate whipped cream.
Then, we spread it all over a roll cake.
After that, we used a fork to draw lines on the cake to make it look like a log.
It was hard using just the right amount of pressure so that we didn’t scrape the cake!
And then we decorated it with sprinkles and special Christmas decorations.
