Flock together. Today we had a nice visit from the schools pet parakeet. The students got to get a very up close and personal view of a live bird.

It was perfect for today’s science topic, bird’s feathers. The students could see how feathers look and behave up close.

We also could look at peasants and peacock feathers. Then the students could draw and compare the different feathers.

Because of this the students could get very detailed and observe feathers carefully. We got some great pictures.

It was so fun having a live bird during this study, we really got ahead of ourselves.
