In a cimate change classroom the, children recently learned about Tuvalu’s struggle against rising tides.

We talked about how climate change is affecting the polar ice caps and melting the ice.  The ice then adds more water into our oceans and thus causes island nations like Tuvalu to sink or flood into the ocean.

Next we played a  playful “Sinking Island” game, where platforms dwindled, mimicking the island’s challenge. Amidst laughter, the lesson on climate change sank in.

As the game ended, it reminded these young minds that even the smallest ripples can make waves in understanding global issues.

Sea you later
