Today on Social Studies Wednesday Access class , we took a little journey to the farm up the road. It was a nice 15 minute walk where we could enjoy the fresh air.
We made sure to hold hands and walk to the farm safely.
Some of us brought cute gloves to get dirty at the farm.
First we learned about how to dig and pick a spot for our plants.
We made a hole and took out the plants.
Then we planted it and made sure that the ground was packed and pushed in.
We got dirty but it was fun.
Next we watered the plants.
Last, we pulled some weeds, and caught some bugs.
It was great to be outdoors and getting dirty. The kids could feel how much work goes onto a farm and taking care of plants. Great experience. – Jake
