Cactus refers to one cactus, and cacti refers to more than one. We found that funny today when we learned about the strong and humble cactus.
On today’s Thursday trek into the desert we learned about how interesting cactus can be. We learned about the different types and what it takes for them to survive.
To commemorate the cacti we made a few 3D specimens.
To start off we covered cardboard with glue and made sure to paste green construction paper on both sides.
We then drew and carefully cut them out, with lots of help from our teachers.
Then we put them together and decorated them with spines, flowers, fruits and even wrens.
