This week it was time to vote for the best Halloween decorations.
“Which one do you like?”

“This one!”
“Why? What do you see in it that is Halloween?”
“I see a haunted house.” “A bat.” “I see ‘Happy Halloween.'”

Students discussed what choice they would pick in their groups.
It was a hard choice to make as all the decorations looked so good.
While waiting on the results, students did some Halloween activities.
First, they explored some fun Halloween related phrases.

Teachers used body language to show off the meaning.
*Shiver* “My blood runs cold.” Does that mean something is scary, makes you happy, or makes you sleepy? “Scary!”
By the time we go to 8 “What does blood boil mean?” We imagined a bubbling pot of boiling water.
“I know. Is it angry?”
Next, we played a “Catch the Ghost” game.
When the lights are off…

Ghosts had to be moving around.
However, when the lights were turned back on…

If a ghost was still moving, that ghost was out.
Students worked hard to be good ghost catchers.
Unfortunately, our ACCESS did not win any prizes.
However, the Pre ACCESS project everyone loved did.

Congratulations PAP on winning the “Cutest Decoration Award” this year!
