Today we felt like doing a little baking, so we started making some delicious pie. The kids wanted to eat blueberry, and pumpkin pie.
We started by making the filling. We mixed red, yellow, and orange paint to make pumpkin filling, and we mixed blue, and purple paint to make blueberry filling.
After that, we made the pie crust. We used three shades of brown to make the crust.
“Outside first.”
“More dark brown.”
“Too much?”
After drying, we cut up the brown paper into strips.
“Is this 2cm?
“Finished.”
We then took those strips and weaved them on top of our pie filling.
“4 x 4.”
“Over, under, over, under…”
“Can I cut the outside?”
And to finish off today’s work, we made some cute placemats to put our pie on.
