This month, our Monthly Theme is all about traveling the world.
We started off our day by singing a popular song.
It’s a very fast song, but students were soon humming along to the rhythm.
They practiced repeating and singing the first verse.
Next it was time to learn some of the countries and flags of Europe.
“I want to do this one… Ro-romania?”
“Can you find it on the map?”
“It’s here!”
“What colors does the flag have?”
“Blue, white and red.”
“What’s this one?”
“The United Kingdom. We also call it England.”
After coloring in the flags of some countries we found, it was time for a test.
Students used their map reading skills to find and identify countries on a worksheet.
We finished up our day exploring a fairy tale themed theme park in the Netherlands.
Students were fascinated by the video. They wanted to explore it more, so we decided to do so in the next lesson.
