Today we continued on from last week’s lesson. We are making Darumas to celebrate the new year.

First we drew in the details of the Daruma’s face. We only filled in the left eye after making our wish.

“Where is left?”

“Mouth is red.”

“It’s the same.”

The right side will be filled in once our wish comes true.

After that, we cut up some shiny gold paper to decorate the front of the Daruma.

“How many pieces?”

“Too sticky.”

“Finished.”

The only thing left to do now is wait!

We hope your 2026 wishes come true soon!
