This week, our students began a very special art project — making their own Daruma dolls using paper mache!

Daruma dolls are a symbol of perseverance, goal-setting, and never giving up, so this was a perfect blend of culture, creativity, and meaningful learning.

The children carefully shaped their Daruma by layering paper and paste, learning that good things take time and patience.

Next week, we’ll be adding the finishing touches — painting details, adding facial features, and completing their Daruma designs.

Stay tuned for the finished Daruma dolls next week — they’re going to be amazing!
