This week, students discovered how our brains fill in missing information and sometimes trick us into seeing things that aren’t really there!

We looked at “moving” pictures that weren’t moving at all and saw how our brains “complete” images like puzzles.

To finish, everyone made their own Magic Spinner (Thaumatrope) — two pictures that turn into one when spun fast. Birds flew into cages, fish swam into bowls, and our classroom filled with excitement!
