ACCESS students played Chess, learning the names of pieces like rook, knight, and bishop, and discovering the game’s origins. Meanwhile, Pre-ACCESS students enjoyed I Spy, calling out objects on the board.
One Pre-ACCESS student said, “I found it hiding behind the tree!”, while an ACCESS student proudly exclaimed, “Checkmate!”
Games like these encouraged thinking, teamwork, and creativity—all while having fun.
