Yummy Science !
For science we used gummy bears to do a super fun yummy experiment. The goal was to get the students thinking and talking about that might happen putting their knowledge together.
First we put the gummy bears in soda over night. We taleked about tge bubble the soda makes and what could possibly happen. Many children thought that it might obsorb the soda and grow bigger! and the result was ….. It did get bigger ! and the texture turned into Jelly !
They were amazed by the result ! Then we put the jelly like gummy bears into the freezer. They all thought that it was going to either be super hard like ice or it would shrink and become small again.
When the gummy bears came out of the freezer, the size was still the same but it had a sherbet like texture! Everyone loved it and enjoyed the cold dessert!
