Writing:
Today the students had a review day of how to use adjectives in a sentence, and how they lead into describing a noun. We went over several examples, they were able to be more independent about which adjectives to use when expressing different details about target nouns, too. They also learned what a grammar contraction is (isn’t – wasn’t – I’ll – didn’t). They learned about the importance on an apostrophe, and what two letters are being pressed together to make a contraction.
Science:
Today, students finished their food web posters. They did a pretty good job being able to label, and express what each animal/plant gives energy to. They worked on time management very well, and if they’ll have a little bit of time to finish their posters since some of them didn’t. Next week, we have our 2nd test. That’ll cover pages 65-89 of their textbook. Please feel free to help them study.
