This week, ACCESS students wrapped up their study on Oceans by diving deep into the mysterious midnight zone, home to some of the ocean’s most fascinating creatures.
Among them are shrimps that not only survive in the dark depths, but also surprise us with their unique abilities.
One of the highlights was learning about the Mantis Shrimp, a small but mighty creature famous for packing one of the strongest punches in the animal kingdom.
The moment we shared this fact, the classroom lit up with laughter. A few students exclaimed in disbelief, “It is a boxing shrimp?” before erupting into giggles.
