This week, students began their Stone Age unit by traveling back thousands of years to discover what life was like for hunters and gatherers.
They explored how people lived, what kinds of homes they built, and how survival depended on hunting animals and gathering plants.
Students were surprised to learn that not all food was safe to eat and that people had to remember which plants were helpful and which were dangerous.
One student said, “If you pick the wrong food, you could get really sick,”
Have you ever eaten something that made you feel sick? Imagine how careful you would need to be if you were choosing food in the Stone Age.
