Before we could become expert cloud spotters, we first delved into some serious cloud science! We explored different types of clouds – from the wispy cirrus to the fluffy cumulus – understanding their unique shapes, what makes them appear, and what they usually mean for our day. The kids were full of questions and excitement, eager to learn about the atmosphere above us. 🧠💡
Crafting Our Cloud Viewers ✂️🎨
Once our brains were brimming with cloud knowledge, it was time to get creative! 🙌 Each student designed and assembled their very own cloud viewer. They carefully cut out their frames and then meticulously glued on various cloud shapes, making sure their viewer was perfect for sky-gazing. It’s amazing to see how much thought and detail went into each unique creation! ✨

With our fantastic cloud viewers ready, it was time for the grand finale – an outdoor cloud expedition! 🚶♀️🚶♂️ We took our classroom outside and excitedly searched the skies of Ebisu City. Using their viewers, the students pointed out different cloud formations, eagerly identifying the types they had just learned about. It was incredible to see their faces light up as they connected their classroom learning to the real world above! 🤩🌍
