Language Arts:
Today, we branched off of what the students learned in their Tuesday writing class. We continued our study of combining sentences. They had some difficulty at the beginning not understanding that both sentences needed to have the same subject. Their sentences weren’t wrong, but they needed to focus on what the main task was. We went through several exercises and they were able to get it on their own in the end. They worked very hard to understand, so it was great to see them rising to the challenge. I was impressed with all of their questions.
Special Project:
Today we finished our short project of the creating their own maps. They had a lot of fun with this project, and it was great hearing all of their descriptions of their original creations.
