Hello J2 Parents!!
Language Arts:
Today, the students continued their study of linking independent clauses together. This time, there was more emphasis on them deciphering how they could combine them using a comma when there are two different nouns or one. We did a few examples that they then wrote in their study notebook. They’re coming along nicely.
Special Project:
This evening, the students decided their favorite character. The guidelines are that they have ten questions they need to research and answer. They might ask you, their parents, for help. That being said, please help them as much as you can. If a question is too difficult, they can leave it blank and I’ll help them find the rest of the answers. This will take a little while. Mainly because summer vacation is coming up, and everyone will have different schedules… including the teachers. This will be a month and a half project, so there is no need to rush. This will be their first research project where they’re going to look up information, so we’ll take it step by step.
