The Grade 2 students started a new book today.
ANTS!
They started with a general discussion about what they already knew of ants and then we read together to discover some interesting facts about the ant world.
They learned all about colonies, how ants build their anthills, how they feed themselves, and the interesting relationship betweent the worker ants and the queen.
It was a fun lesson that culminated in a strange debate as to whether or not they would eat an ant!?!
