Our Monthly Theme this month is transportation.
We began our journey by looking at a form we use all the time – the train!
First, students looked at a timeline of the history of transportation.
From horses, to boats, to trains… the way we travel has changed so much.
Next, students learned about the different kinds of trains.
They thought about how steam engines are different from the high speed trains we use today.
Students finished fof the day by going on a train journey in the mountains of Australia.
“Wow! We’re so high!”
“We’re almost to the station.”
We had a great time seeing the sights as we climbed up the mountain.
