本日のサマースクールのテーマは、エッフェル塔でした。
英語では「Eiffle Tower」、フランス語では「la Tour Eiffle」と表記します。
発音も「エッフェル」ではありませんね。
まずは、エッフェル等のFun Factsについて学びました。
・Until 1930 it was the tallest building in the world.
・Designed by Gustave Eiffle and his engineering company.
・The tower is repainted every seven years.
It takes 18 months to paint and is painted in 3 shades of brown.
知らない事実ばかりですね。
高さは300メートル以上ありますが、レッスンではミニチュアのエッフェル塔を作りました。
