What a wonderful bird!
Today in art, we made a special bird to go along with our Science theme.
Do you know this bird?
“I know it in Japanese.” “I forgot its name.”
This bird is a peacock.
Students looked at a real peacock feather.
We talked about why a peacock has such colorful feathers.
“Hey boys, do you want to do a fancy dance for your girlfriend?” “No!”
We learned how tough it is for the boy peacock.
To make our peacock, first we cut out the feathers.
We then layered our feathers to create the peacock’s tail.
Students added designs to their feathers and bodies.
Once complete, they had their very own beautiful peacock.
