In social studies this week the students learned about a game called Mancala. Mancala is a 2 player strategy board game played around the world.
We first learned about the history of the game. It is one of the oldest games that is still widely popular. It was even played in Ancient Egypt!
We went over the rules of the game before playing together. We had some pre made boards ready and marbles to enjoy the game.
The students had a lot of fun playing this game together. Many of the students had already played before so they were quite good!
Well done everyone!
