Today we learnt about and discovered what coral reefs are made of. We discovered that Coral is made up of single cell organisms.
We then learnt about the different threats that are facing coral reefs today; plastic pollution, global warming and overfishing. We discussed each concept in depth and learnt about why these threats are taking place.
After this, we discovered what different animals are living in the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. We talked about how big this particular coral reef is.
After this, we each decided upon a different sea animal to draw and write about. After drawing out our different fish, sharks or coral we wrote about where we find them and how they help the oceans.
