Today we continued our science lessons about fire, and talked about the literary meanings of fire.

As an example fire is symbolic in ceremonies a big one being the olympics happening this year. The torch is passed on from Japan to Tokyo.

Other examples include Guy Fawks wanting to burn down the establishment, a symbolic gesture for things we don’t like.

Throughout history fire has been used to burn up things we don’t like or approve of and that is what we set up our students to do today.

Some us disapproved of trash, stinky socks and even the war happening in Ukraine, others disapprove of the missile testing and poop.

One things for certain, fire is a strong thing it can destroy and burn, but with destruction comes rebirth and a cleansing, and sometimes we just got to let it burn.
