This weekend is the traditional Japanese celebration known as “Setsubun”, in which children chase an ogre away by throwing beans at it, which makes bad luck go away.
Our students had to face off with an ogre that came to English Pocket!
But fortunately, the students were able to chase him away by throwing beans! 🫘
After the ogre disappeared, we played a fun card flipping game using red and blue ogre cards. Each team had to flip over the cards to their teams ogre color. The winner had the most cards flipped to their ogre’s color 👹
