Have you ever wondered what it would be like to care for an animal to help someone else?
Today, the Jupiter students read a story about a family going to adopt a puppy to train it to become a seeing-eye dog. The short story gave a lot of interesting opinions and facts that allowed the students to learn about not only the responsibilities involved in raising an animal, but also the benefits they can have in help the someone else.
After completing some interesting questions about the story, we had a short discussion about whether they would like to foster a guide dog.
Next, the student started planning this month’s creative writing story. The picture gave way to a very enthusiastic and imaginative brainstorming session.
Then, the students got to work on organising their ideas and writing a first draft of their stories. They will finish their draft for homework and we will learn about their tales in next week’s class.
Great job!
