Today was the last day on our science unit of fire. We learned and talked about how to start a fire.
Of course for safety reasons we could only use our schools play set, nevertheless they were great examples for the students.
First gather up some fire wood, kindle and tinder.
Stack them around into a triangular shape, and cross the twigs. Next place stones and rocks around the fire for protection.
After that place some tinder inside the sticks for kindling.
Finally we can light it up and roast marshmallows and hot dogs.
Don’t forget to put it out thoroughly after use.
Time for ghost stories. Only you can prevent forest fires.
